About SpendScope, privacy & FAQ

Free private credit card spending analyzer

SpendScope Analyzer helps you understand a credit card CSV export without creating an account or connecting a bank. Your CSV is processed locally in your browser, so the transaction data you load is not uploaded to SpendScope Analyzer.

Flexible spending periods

Switch between daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, half-year, three-quarter-year and yearly views, then choose a line, bar, or pie chart for the period trend.

Merchant and category insights

Review top merchants, spending types, repeat merchants, recurring-charge patterns and your largest purchases.

Local-first analysis

The analyzer runs in your browser. No bank login is required, and the CSV data you select is not sent to a SpendScope server.

SpendScope FAQ

What CSV information does SpendScope need?

A date, merchant or description, and amount are required. If SpendScope cannot recognize the columns automatically, it provides a mapping step.

Does SpendScope upload my credit card transactions?

No. The CSV is analyzed locally in your browser. SpendScope does not require a bank connection or account.

Which time periods can I analyze?

You can group spending by day, week, two-week period, month, quarter, half year, three-quarter year, or calendar year.

Which chart styles can I use?

The main period view can be displayed as a line chart, bar chart, or pie chart. The detail cards and totals remain the same when the chart style changes.

Is SpendScope financial advice?

No. SpendScope is a personal spending-analysis utility. Its summaries are informational and should be checked against your card statement when accuracy matters.
