Speech Recognition

This application uses whisper.cpp with an OpenAI Whisper model for local speech recognition. Audio is processed locally after the model and engine have been downloaded.

Licensing

whisper.cpp is distributed under the MIT License.

OpenAI Whisper source code and model weights are distributed under the MIT License.

MIT-licensed software may generally be used, modified, redistributed, and included in commercial software, provided the applicable copyright and license notices are retained.

This application does not use FFmpeg for the dictation workflow; the browser records WAV audio directly for whisper.cpp.
